It's A New Year!

I am so glad of this New Year. Last year was not the best for me i had a lot of health isssues. But this year is going to be better.

First of all i would like to share with all some photos of my beautiful new baby granddaughter Charlee. She is actually 8 months old now.

Isn't she the cutest baby!!! I have to laugh though! whenever i take close ups of her, she seems to go a little gah! gah! in the eyes. It is really cute though!

My next news is that i have not sent any layouts off to submit for publication for a long time. My sister talked me into sending some in. So i did , i got 2 selected and they are coming up in Issue 94 of Scrapbook Creations. Very exciting.

Here are a few layouts i have created lately for classes and just for me.

Last but not least here is some cards. I have been dabbling a little bit in these lately and rather enjoy making them.

Christmas! Christmas! Christmas!

I am so naughty writing that heading for my blog post. I can not believe how quick Christmas has come around, only a month to go, and i have done no Christmas Shopping at all. This Saturday i am having a Christmas Workshop which is fully booked out. I am getting excited already and still have heaps to get ready for the day, but i know it will all come together in the end.

I have just been over to WA to meet my new little Granddaughter Charlee, she is just the cutest baby in the world ( i am biast). It was so nice to play, cuddle & kiss a new little baby again, it has been 8 years since my last grandchild was born, so it was a real treat. I will miss not being close enough to give her lots of kisses and cuddles. I took heaps of photos which i need to load up on the computer yet, and when i do i will post up some photos of her.

Here are a few layouts i have been creating lately. Scrapbook Divas recently had the Prima Workshop with the lovely Tricia as the guest Prima Designer, creating a lovely layout for the ladies who did the workshop, I was away at the time and am dieing to see what they created for the day. Michelle asked for a couple of my Prima layouts for display and here are some of them below.

OMG! Ihave not been on here for ages

I have not been on my blog for so long. It is time i did an update. I am having a Christmas Extravaganza Workshop again this year. The Date 19th of November. The Time 10.00am until 5.00pm or later if needed.

Here is a little peek of what i will be doing, a gorgeous Christmas Gate Album, completed and ready to put your precious Christmas Snaps into. It will be a treasure piece. You can also use it as a regular Christmas Adornment to put out every Christmas, for wonderful memories.

Mixed Mediums Workshop

Hi Everyone.

As a lot of you know i have not been well over the past 6 months. Even though things are still not quite wonderful. I am feeling so much better, & i would like to thank all of you who have contacted me with well wishes. It did help me a lot!

I need to post up some photos of myself as i have lost just over 28 kilos in weight, this is great, but not a great way to loose it.I am now a size 16 and still going down big difference from the size 26 i was OH! MY God!. So anyway lets get on with the matter at hand.

I have finally finished the workshop using Mixed Mediums ( Gesso, Texture Paste, Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glaze, Gel Medium & Watercolour Pencils).

The Techniques i have applied using these mediums are: Serviette Napkins, Paint Scraping, Altering Chipboard, Using Large Stamps, A Texture Paste Frame & Colouring In Stamped Images.

Christmas Is Over & The New Year Is Approaching

First of all,it has been sometime since i have posted on my blog. I have been unwell of late, but feeling a little better now.

I have not started work on the January Workshop yet, but i am hoping to get into now the busy season is over.

I do have a few photos to share with you, that i took at the Big Christmas Charisma Workshop we had in November. The ladies had so much fun and really enjoyed the whole experience. The class was from 10.30am until 5.00pm, but i was impressed and so happy the ladies had everproject completed and ready to take home and make heaps more by 3.30pm in the afternoon, i thought that was fantastic, seeing we had a 1 hour lunch break.

I have heard back from some of the ladies that they even got some orders from people to make multiples of some of the projects, that is a good feeling, and great feedback.

Thank you ladies for coming and the pleasure of your company.

I did have so many more people who wanted to attend, but there was not enough room. so for those who missed, keep your eye out in the New Year for a couple of Christmas Classes, to get you ready early for Christmas.

That lovely Kaiser Christmas Tree that i decorated for a prize was one by the lovely Anne. I am sorry you can not see it up close, but i really thought i had taken a close up shot of it on it's own, but i can not find that photo, so maybe i didn't, i know that she had to keep a good eye on it, as it was the envy of most of the ladies in the room.

Here we have the lovely Lexie and Annette busy at work.

The two beautiful ladies Brenda and Lily, i was lucky enough to get them to look up for moment for a picture.

Carrolyn and Cheryl were so busy, when i wanted the photo, they were just too involved in their creations, but i still got thier photo.

Leonie & Marg, even finding some time for a little chit chat, and if i recall i think the very witty Marg was telling the room a joke, this is something we often get the pleasure of at each of my classes, and i must say, she can sure tell some good ones, to get you laughing.

And then we have the lovely Jan, taking a moment out to talk some scrapping creativeness.

Then we have with heads down, and deep into creating is the winner of the Christmas Tree Anne on the left, and Linda.

And their they are all busy at thier creations.

And what are they looking at up here, there are more ladies on the floor and in the corner, something was happening ,i wonder what?

It's Nearly Here......

Only a couple of more weeks to go for the Christmas Charisma Workshop. The class is now full, which is wonderful. The kits are nearly completed.....whewwww! I did not realise how much work there was to do, but it's all worth it.

Spring is here!

Color Room Layout #25 This is the layout for the colour room this week, i really enjoyed these colours in the palette, i was able to have a really good rummage through my stash!

#24 Colour Room layout: I found the colours in the BG Origins paper really worked for the palette this week. Mind you! I am not very good at flowers on boy pages, but the design of the flower stickers, were more like a garden, rather than the frillyer version of flowers around at the moment.

Color Room RDA.....

Last week i received a wonderful email from the Color Room, Run By Lydell Quinn. I was asked to be a Revolving Door Artist for the site for the next month along with Brit & the rest of the Color Room DT Members. I accepted humbly, there are so many wonderfully tallented ladies putting thier work up over there, that it is a treat for the eyes, and i felt very excited to be part of that. I had to however keep it quiet for a whole week, keeping it to myself was very hard, but i got there. I have already received quite a few congratulations from my dear friends.

Loads Of Inspiration

The Color Room Palette this week, was a real challenge. Going through my stash i found Pink & Green, More Pink & Green & More Pink & Green. Pink & Blue i did not have much of, so i had to use whatever i could find. Below is the finished layout, even though the blue seems to be to light, it is in real life much darker, but i am having lighting problems this week photographing my pages. I liked the finished result, especiall the cute photo of my grandaughter.

This is my layout for Awabakal this week. I love these papers, are they not the most delicious mix of colour.

Successful Fundraiser & Awesome Day

Hi! Everyone.

Yesterday was the day of our anuall fundrasier, organised by the lovely Mandy Gilchrist! Mandy does the best and most wonderful job, with these fundraisers, that she puts her heart and soul into. This year the fundraiser was held for the Hunter River Community School. Mandy & Regina organised and put on the most wonderful day for us all. Classes were held, by Jen Hall & Myself, with 100% of class fees going to the fundraiser. We had great participation in these classes being filled, and most kits being sold. Michelle Thomas from Scrapbook Divas had the scrapbook store on the day, with a wonderful new range from MME, and believe me i went crazy, this is definetly one of the nicest ranges from MME i have ever seen.

Many, Many, People ,Companies & Scrapbookstores, Scrapbook Internet Sites & Scrapbook Magazine Distributors, all donated fantastic prizes.

Jen Hall donated one of here Jenerations photography packs as a special raffle, & i donated a very special photo frame also as a raffle prize on the day with the lovely Stacey Pollock winning the prize, she was elated, as she said she had a perfect photo to put it in. There will be a picture below, for all to have a look at.

There was many laughs, lots of noise in the room, and just a wonderful day. Alas though! because i was so busy all day, only able to complete layout, which still needs some finishing touches, i did not get to take any photos. So i am relying on some friends to forward me some of the day, which i am sure they will.

This is the layout i taught for my class on the day.

This is the prize that i created and donated for the raffle. The picture is not that great, this week the winds were very strong, and it was hard to find a good place, with good lighting and no wind. It is actually a scrapbook 12" x 12" photo frame, with a stand at at the back, or a hanger for hanging on the wall.

Anyway that is it for now, i have my Dad coming for lunch today, and i need to get lunch organised, will be back soon with more updates.

Lucky Me!

I got a lucky surprise today, on the color room, I actually won the prize last week, and did not realise, until a friend told me.I can not wait for it to get here. I am so excited.

I have actually won prizes before on internet sites, but i have never received them, so i am getting very excited hoping this one will turn up at my door very soon, which i am sure it will.

I will inform you and take a little picture of it when it arrives. How exciting!!!!

Thought it was about time

I updated my blog. I have had a shocking winter, which has put me far behind in everything.

...........First! don't forget this coming Saturday is the Autistic Fundraiser, being held at Edgeworth, where i will be teaching a class, & donating my class fees to the fundraiser. Make sure you go have a look a the fundraiser blog, link on the right hand side column.

Second......this is a class i did last week for the shop, i used old products from last year! but i was still happy with the result, just goes to show, everything old, is new again.

The next layout below is one using the new Paper Girl Range, I am so loving the modern vintage range of papers that are hitting the scrapbooking market these days.

This next layout is quite a simple page for me, but i really enjoyed using the new papers from Fancy Pants

This is another really quick layout using the Kaiser Devonshire Collection. I added some Doilies & organza ribbon for some vintage feel.

This next layout is my class coming up this week at the shop, using the new Kaiser products Secret Bird Society. I love the monochromatic look i gave to this page, it looks so elegant in real life. I used the stamps to add extra embellishing to the plainer papers. On the right hand side page is a mini album i created and added extra photos to the inside pages.

Long Time

OMG! it has been a while since i posted. I have been sick with a cold and bronchitis for weeks, it is still nipping at my heals. I need some sunny warm weather for it to go!

Well i have been very busy. Classes & fundraisers. Last Sunday i attended a Fundraiser to raise money for two sweet little girls from West Timor with Facial Tumors. My very special friend Cassey, organised everything & what a fantastic job she did, for her first fundraiser. I taught a class which was fully booked out.....thank you so much to all the people who attended, your donation was so appreciated. All the class & kit fees were donated to the fundraiser. Cassey also held a card class in the morning, which also raised a great deal of money. We had a silent auction, which lots of people donated prizes to be auctioned off on the day. I bid for and won a fantastic jewelry set. I need to take a photo of that and pop up on here.

Well below is some work i have created lately, along with a picture of the canvas i made for the fundraiser.

This is some cards i made with the left over products from the kit. I included a fact sheet that they could purchase for a gold coin donation. All the sheets sold, and some extras were sent out to people via email.

What A Week

Well! another week has finally gone by! for me anyway the week has ended today. I have been using this terrible cream on my face for sun damage, & today i do not have to use it anymore. It has done its job, but oh! boy was it irritating! I also had good news on the ones i had cut out, one had a malignancy, but they got it all! thank goodnesss, but the other one was absolutely nothing, that is good news to, but i am not happy having a scar when there was nothing there.

After all that, i still have been busy with classes and creating my layout for the color room challenge. I really loved the sketch and the color palette for this week & had heaps of fun creating the page. I even made myself do some stamping directly onto the page for this one! so below is the layout!

Out Of Touch

Hi! everyone! I hope you all had a good long weekend! I missed my computer over the weekend, and now have a lot of catching up to do. It had to go to the computer doctor for a well deserved upgrade, now it is running faster, & making me much happier.

This is the layout i did last week for the colour room palette #9. It was nice to use old stash and a photo taken such a long time ago as well.

I have been out of touch with my blog and my computer, this past week. My computer needed some TLC and was sent away for some very much needed upgrading and cleaning. It is back now & i have a lot to catch up on.

* The past week. Started with a visit to the Dermatoligist who pointed out a lot of sun damage to my face from my youth. We did not have sun screen or any sun prevention back in those days, other than a hat on your head. Which of course i did not wear! We spent a lot of time at the beach with my Dad and my 4 other siblings, swimming, building sandcastle & sliding down sand dunes on the boards Dad made for us. So lots and lots of sun.I now have the lovely job of applying cream to my face for the next two weeks, to get rid of and burn off the sun cancers. Well don't i look lovely ( and i am not putting a picture up here, i am hiding out at the moment). I will be glad when it is over and the dermatoligist has assured me at the end it will be like having a face lift! yaaayyyyy! I hope he is right!.....LOL. No i should not joke about it, skin cancers are a serious matter. Then that is not the end of it, he found one, just one on my chest that is nasty and needs to be cut out. That in itself is terryifying me. That won't be for a few more weeks yet, so i have time to get my self schyced up and prepared, i am such a sooooookkkky lala! So that is enough of that for now.

This is my creation for palette 8 this week. I had so much trouble photographing it. There was hardly and sun this week, and what i could get, keep creating a shadow over my page, which did not make me very happy, this is the best photo i could get out of them all. The colours are quite exact as the smaller purple flower looks more burgundy, but it is not, it is quite a dark purple.

I need to find time to create some other work, but i seem to be to busy looking at the color room. Some of the layouts on there are really beautiful!

Sundays

I love Sundays....today i cooked a delicious roast dinner for my Family...mmmmmm! lovely roast lamb, i enjoyed it today as much as everyone else. Nothing like a cold day for a great hot lunch. My granddaughter had never tried mint sauce before and this was a delight for her, she loved it!

Well thats enough about food and here is my Layout for last weeks Family Heritage Album Class...i have been asked to upload a picture of the album, which we made for our monthly classes. I will take a picture of it this week when i go in for class and upload asap.

The prima products used on this layout, just fit together perfectly & it is one of my favourite pages. Look how much my beautiful granddaugther has grown.

Another Color Room Layout

This is the colour chart and the sketch this week at the color room. I have to say i am getting to use the colour purple a lot these days on my pages, something i rarely do, but it is growing on me!

This is my take on the layout. I have used brighter colours, with just a touch of the lilac to the page pop.

New Design Team Member

Another crazy week

This week was one of those crazy weeks. I was sick all week. Food poisoning. I am neve eating Chicken again when i am out. Three times i have gotten sick from eaten chicken when i am dining out, it is totally off my menu! for the moment.

Last weeks pallette for the colour room was fantastic colours and below is a picture of the colour palette and my layout. I was not well creating this one, so i was not really that happy with the finished result, not my usual!

Wicked!

Yes! today i went to Sydney to the Capital Theartre to see Wicked, with some great friends. Mandy, Jan & Chirs. OMG! it was fantastic, i could have gone back in and watched it all over again. Spectacular. If you ever get the chance go see it. I did take a few sneaky photos, but i am yet to the load them up.

For the colour room. this is my layout for last weeks colour palette. I had so much fun with the colours, even though the colours did not photograph as well as i wanted, as i ran out of daylight. I will be loading up soon how to make the little handmade flowers, so watch out for that coming.

The Glorious Days of Autumn

This is my layout for this weeks colour challenge on the Color Room. I am always challenged when using the colour purple but i really did like the combination of the green, blue, white & purple, it worked really well.

I have been a very slack blogger have'nt I. There has just been to much going on in my life lately & not enough time for everything. A week & a half ago i found this link to a fantastic ning. website called the Colour Room. You must go and have a look http://colorroom.ning.com/ there are artist from all over the world loading up layouts every week. There is a new color palette & sketch placed up every week, for you to use as inspiration. I am enjoying is so much i wanted to share my creation from this weeks colour palette.

I can not believe how much my granddaughter has grown, when i loaded these photo up to print out to use on this layout i was amazed in her growth.

Today i had a wonderful, relaxing, fun day with Jan & Chris some wonderful friends. We had a card day. A Fantastic Lunch, Bacon & Leek Tart with Summer Salad, & refreshing Ice Tea, & an even more delicious desert, made from scratch from myself.....A Citrus Tart with Flaked Coconut & Dollop of Cream. My Kitchen Rules eat your heart out......LOL. I really should have taken some photos, but forgot......dammnnnnn, i hate it when i do that.

So below is the only two cards i got to make, to much talking & good company.

Can you believe we are already through another season? I have to say i am glad it is March, the Autumn months, cooler nights & crisp mornings. I am loving it. The weather report says that we had the hotter summer on record in 2 decades. I can believe it, the humidity was just too much for me & I am sure for many others.

Well i have been busy creating with some of the new CHA Release Papers from My Minds Eye. I love how they have brought us such a lot of variety with the new Release. Each Collection has several catergories which includes boys & girl ranges. So below is couple of classes i am teaching at Scrapneeds Cardiff in the next coming weeks.

I often create a lot of the vintage & heritage work, but my favourite style of scrapping is to do fun, bright & eclectic layouts of my grandchildren. I love the bright colours in the New My Minds Eye Quite Contrary Be Happy range. I am usually a more Linear person with my style, but have been admiring some of the new style of scrapping that is coming from our new Masters & artists around today. I also got a little carried away and created two beautiful cards. This is something i have been doing a lot lately with my left over papers & embellishments, & all my lovely class supporters have really relished in the idea of creating more in each class. I encouraged them to create a card box & place all thier finished cards inside, then when Birthday or event comes around they have a ready made card to sent to the lucky recipient.

I have so admired the lovely work of Kathie Link over the years & the way she creates fantastic scenes with her photos & papers. So this layout was inspired by Kathie Links work. I have to say i was happy with the finished result, & i got so much enjoyment out of free hand drawing the house and the clouds. This is something i never do, & thought i could never do, but i am pretty happy with the results, because an artist i am not.

I now have to go finish off my Nieces 21st Birthday Invitations. The constant repetative actions of putting together invitations i have to say is not the most enjoyable part of creating. Anyway they have to be, so i bet get going.

Old Stock

I have been very busy lately getting together classes for My Yearly album class of snippets & photos of events throughout the month of February. This month was based mainly on My daughters 34th Birthday. There are photos of my Granddaughter and Grandson making toffees ( which they conned me into making, after which , i found out later there mum said they could not make them as there was to much sugar....don't you just love that).We celebrated my daughters birthday with a beautiful breakfast at Goldbergs on Darby Street....It was delicious, and i fully recomend it, don't expect to get a seat straight away on a Saturday or a Sunday, there is always at the very least a 15 minute seating wait. We then finished off the weekend with a delicious cake on the Sunday afternoon.

My Yearly Album Class for the month of February:
For this double layout i used the new Basic Grey Sugar Rush Range & a mixture of Transparencies & Calico Fabric. I transferred some of my photos onto Calico pieces using Gel Medium & water emersing them to rub off the backing. I then stitched around the edges & adhered one beside the larger photo, & the rest were stitched into the Calico Mini Album Book.

My Family Heritage Album Class:

This month the layout was created about Me:
For my Family Heritage Album Class which we had last week, i used the Daisyd's Papers, which are some papers from last year. I wanted a very Shabby Chic and very soft appearance to the layout ( not to mention, that one of my class pupils, asked me to use them for this class in particular, for her new baby Granddaugter) So i used a lot of lace, soft papers & embellishments. I distressed the edges of a lot of the paper pieces. I also had a play around in photo shop to enhance & restore some very faded and acid eaten photos that my mother gave to me years ago. I was very happy with the way they turned out.

The photos below are very old, and i had some difficulty getting them into focus, but i am yet to learn how to use Photo Shop, this is something i really want to do this year!

I can't believe that is me ( on the right hand side) at the age of 15...OMG where have those years gone and also ( where has that figure gone). There is another picture of me in my Grandmothers backyard. Look how old and shabby the fence is! There is another two photos of me with my siblings when they were little, and when we had grown up. I do not have many photos of the earlier days, as photos back then were kept in those terrible sticky sheet albums, and lot were destroyed with the brown acid that ate away at them.

At the moment i am waiting patiently for all the new CHA stock to turn up at my local store for classes. In the mean time i came across the Basic Grey Lemonade Range that was out in the shop middle of last year, & remembered how much i really loved these papers, so i thought, well even though they are old stock, they are still stunning. I busily got creative and came up with my class for the shop, SCRAPNEEDS to teach this Thursday night. I had just the right the photos, which were also from mid 2009. I was very happy with the result, and even more happy that i got to scrap my Sister for a change.

Some Inspiration

I have borrowed my sons Laptop to put these projects up tonight, as my trusty computer has decided to have a hissy fit, well actually it is not the computers fault, someone sent me an email, which had a virus in it, and i have to get it fixed. So thank Goodness for the families computers.

On the weekend i went to the Morisset Show. Where i demonstrated and created several layouts using some of the new products now in at SCRAPNEEDS. I thought i was very industrious, considering i very rarely get much done at crops and when not creating at home, as i spend to much time talking....LOL:

The layouts are very simple, which is a change for me as i always seem to get to complicated, but a little bit of simple, can go a long way.....LOL.

Below is the first layout that i will be doing at SCRAPNEEDS ,Soon, using Graphic 45. Which i have to make a confession is a Range that i can never get enough of, contact the store for details 02 49546549 & book in. Be quick as lately we have not been able to keep kits for anyone, and it has been a case of be the first in to get the place in class.

Below is another layout i created using the New 3 Bugs In A Rug Animal Stackers & The Great Outdoors Collection. Are they not just the cutest papers? I am always on the search for great Boy & Male products, which are so hard to find, mind you i think this is probably my fault, as i am too fussy when choosing my papers for boy layouts. I really like the Macho stuff.
I love these papers & embellishments from Prima that i have used on this delightful and very pink layout, the beautiful Artful Stitched Pattern Papers from Prima just make my heart skip a beat.

And for this layout i used the New 3 Bugs In A Rug Savannah & Run Chicken Run, you will find these papers also at the shop.

And Finally the last layout using the New Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine Range. This range really did reel me in. I love anything Vintage. And check out those Prima Vintage Flowers, which i could not resist.

Something For Me

I am always doing layout or projects for classes, so i stumbled across the new store in Maitland Scrapin Divas and decided to have a little look. They have a great challenge going on thier Blog, which is a Book Of Me.....I very rarely add myself into my scrapping, so decided this would be a nice way for me to document some memories from this point on. Below is a picture of my Cover Album. I made a handmade album instead of a pre-brought one, just to add a more personal touch. Each fortnight the challenge will be given and i will add each page as i go, i am so looking foward to adding some photos of myself and family and events that happen from week to week.

This is the album and front cover. It inspired me so much i am now creating another handmade album for my yearly album class. I will load it up and let you all have a look when i am finished.

Oh! I Have Been A Very Slack Blogger

I have been a very slack blogger over the Christmas Period. I hope you all had a very Meryy Christmas & a Fantastic New Years Celebration. I have created some layouts this year with a bonus card thrown in. I really do not consider myself a card maker and often see beautiful hand made cards, but have never dabbled in creating some of my own. Often i have a lot of left overs from my creations, which end up in a draw and very rarely get used again. So each time i create a layout or project and am going to create a card to pop into a card box i am working on, so when those unexpected Celebrations pop up i can go to my trusty card box and Whalaaahhh! a ready made card.

This layout is a double page layout for my Family Heritage Album Class that i teach once month at the Scrapneeds Store.

The layout below is a picture of my sister Karen with Santa at the Hunter Valley Gardens. We dediced to go up to Christmas Lights without the kids or Grandkids to see what it was like, we had been told different points of view, some said it was spectacular & some said it was not very good, so we decided to see first for ourselves ( and a good excuse for us to sit on the lawn and have some wine and take heaps of photos, with not distraction) We then took the kids & Grandkids up the next week, because we were absolutely in love with the spectacular display & new we had bring them up to see if for themselves.

This is a layout of dear friend Michelle who celebrated her 50th Birthday in December, i took this photo of her and her lovely husband Geoff....don't they look gorgeous. This is my first class of the year at the shop, which will be on this Thursday night. I have yet to create the card with the left overs from this layout.

This is another Christmas & Bonus Card Class coming up at the shop this month, so keep an eye out for it when visitinting Scrapneeds.

Merry Merry Xmas

It's the 1st of December, and who am i to remind you all that we 24days to go. I usually have half my Christmas shopping done by the beginning of November, as i start about June laybying and gathering gifts on sale. This year i decided to save and shop a little later, but when Monday came this week i began to panick as i had not purchased one gift. So i had brekky & coffee, the morning was lovely cool for a change, got a shower and dressed & decided Ok! i am going Christmas Shopping. I headed of to Glendale Super Centre and arrived around 9.30am, there was hardly anyone there....this is great i thought i might get one or two presents done today. WOW! what a day i had, actually it only took me half a day & i was home around 1.00pm, but the greatest part of all was i purchased nearly all Christmas Presents except for 3 ( which i purchased today) i have never had Christmas shopping so easy. And Today i finalised my last present, two days to complete Christmas shopping.....that is bazaaaarrrrrr! especially for me.

Well off that note now and stop the bragging and i have a little announcement, first of all Scrabook Divas is having a free 12days of Christmas Free Classroom Extravaganza...yes 12 days of Christmas gifts and projects for you to make. Yes it's nearly here......and how bad of me to remind you all. I myself am totally unorganised, i have not been able to make my self to abscond upon the shopping delima! Not one present has yet been purchased or wrapped. I am beginning to think the easy option of currency in a beautiful Xmas Card to one all members of the family......i know this is the cowards way out. Hopefully i can find some time next week, and stop making excuses. The Grandchildren, well, they have computers, Nintendo, cameras, Sonnie's, i pods, & the latest fashion for girls Twilight novels......alas what is left to buy, so you see i desperately need to get to the shops and investigate what is the latest trends & also what is left on the shelves when it is left this late to start the Christmas shopping. Well off that subject and back onto another Christmas subject.....I have a few Christmas Beyond the Page projects coming up at the shop SCRAPNEEDS, the first is a two week class doing the beautiful Advent Calendar...... I have to admit, it is so cute i just adore it, the only thing is the last class is on the 3rd December, which makes it two days past the children dipping into the draws, but i am sure they will not mind a few extra treats to catch up the days. So the class starts on Thursday the 26th November & concludes on Thursday the 3rd of December. However if you are keen and can only make the first night, a majority of the work will be done, a fact sheet supplied and you can continue to finish at hope, so it is ready for the due date of the 1st of December, this will be up to you. Loving Bo Bunny!!!!

Who does not love Bo Bunny, these papers are always a hit, and so versatile. For this coming Thursday nights class at SCRAPNEEDS i have created a Heritage Layout, but believe me it does not have to be, you only have to think out side the sqaure for this layout, with even modern day photos used to create a modern vintage theme. Below is a sneak of the layout to give you a general idea of colour & design. I have also gone wild with the cuttle bug this week, creating lovely embellishments & a very stylish frame for your photo. Below is the sneak peek of the 12" x 12" layout. Cure For Cancer Fundraiser Girls Night In

Hi Everyone

Saturday the 24th of October we had our Girls Day & Night In Cure For Cancer Fundraiser at Edgeworth Bowling club,which ran over 12hours , & was Hosted and Organised by the lovely Michelle Thomas owner of Scrapbook Divas, there was lots of scrapbooking and classes. There were some great raffles, one of which was a Pink Making Memories Slice machine, which i know many would have loved to win. I even tried to bribe the winner with a lovely cake slice, offering her a little a bit of heaven in a delicous Frangapani Pie, but alas the Pink Making Memories Slice Machine won....LOL. This lovely lady also said the Christmas Canvas i created to raffle had her name on it, & yes! she won it as well, so good on you Sue, i hope you enjoy your lovely prizes ( i will load up a picture of the Canvas below).It was a great day & we all had fun. Jen Hall & Myself taught classes and raised some good donations for the fundraiser. Jen taught a Boy & Girl Layout Using the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love range, just beautiful. I myself taught a Christmas Accordian Folded Album using Bo Bunny St. Nick Christmas Range of Papers & Embellishments. It was a large project & i will load up each page of the Album below for those of you who need to see the pages to complete your Album.

June Bug........

This is a layout using the June Bug Range from Basic Grey, i have to admit the paper range was a little scary for me, the colours quite bold. I decided to use it sparingly on the page, & using a plain red pattern paper background. I think it worked quite well. I also purchased a packet of the Donna Downie Fabric Birds, but had used the cream one on another page. I wanted to use it on this page as well, so i traced it out onto some Calico, ironed on some pellon, sewed the edges & used some Fray Stop around the edges and wallahhh!... My own little fabric bird. I stitched the bird on the sewing machine with cream thread, and decided it looked a little dull on the page. If i had stitched in black it would have been way to dark. So i highlighted the stitching with a black zig writer pen, gently marking over each stitch, which gave the stitching a much softer look. I also used some green hessian on the layout, which i pulled strands from, then tied into a bow, a lovely rustic embellishment for the page.

WOW! School Hollidays

I have been busy busy busy.....and who isn't in the school hollidays. I had the grandchildren this week & we got to do some great things with the weather being so nice. We had an adventure to the park, & I had all three grandkids for sleepovers, made up fold out beds, cartoons, popcorn & heaps of laughter. We had an adventure to the Reptile Park. I have not been there since my children were young and boy has it changed. We had an awesome day, as you can see by these photos.

I have quite a lot of projects and events to add to this one, with a lot of rambling. On the weekend i spent the weekend scrapping, drinking......to much drinking as some of you will know, but we will keep that to ourselves...LOL ,with the Scrapbook Divas Group. Now some of these ladies were a little worried how i would handle the camping thing. OH! MY GOD...when i saw the cabins i was quite shocked, even though i had been sent a picture, the initial realisation hit me. But i have to admit it was not too bad if you like roughing it. The first night i did not sleep much, as most of us never do when where away from home no matter where you stay. But I experienced on my first night an unocked door that decided to throw itself wide up when the wind came up and i found myself looking at a large mountain view, a beautiful stary sky and lots of trees, but then the door decided to close for the rest of the night, maybe it wanted to give me a look at a very memorbale view LOL, and our door was not the only one to have this experience, so i was told the next day. On the second night i slept very well, through consuming a lot of wine and just passing out for the night, it gave me a good nights sleep. Except for a slight memory of someones with very cold hands touching me on the face, was it a dream or my sister trying to wake me up as she wanted me to escort her to the toilet with my torch, as she did not have one, mind you she was very intoxicated herself, but as i found out the next morning i was not forthcoming in being the good sister and accompaning her, as she could not arouse me, but one of the lovely ladies Jan did this in my place. Thank you Jan....LOL. And speaking of Jan she gave us a lovely demo of some 60's and 70's go go dancing.....very good Jan....LOL. Our other fellow roomy Chris, was horrified when she saw my sister climbing into her sleeping bag, and not mention the shreeks from Jan, and my histerical laughing as she climbed into bed with her dressing gown, tiara, feather bower, slippers & jeans on. Chris took over the mother role and tried to convince her to climb into her sleeping bag, not on it, as her teeth were chatting with the freezing cold of the night. Alas poor Chris could do the only thing she could and tuck her sleeping bag all around her, then Jan Proceeded to remover her tiara, so she would not damage her head, as you know the bunks above our heads were only inches away.

I also want to thank Karen who provided us with our lovely Tiaras and feather bowers for our purple night, also thank you to all lovely ladies who passed around delicious home made munchies, and the lovely ladies who through us chocolates to keep up the energy levels.

Thanks Michelle for organising our fun weekend, and thanks to everyone who have to put up with those of us who got rather intoxicated, and we hope we did not doing anything embarrasing

Stampin Up Party

Hi everyone! isn't the weather just awesome the moment, hope it keeps up and does not get too hot too quick. Well on the title subject Stampin Up Party, last Friday night i had a stampin up party, with a large group of ladies attending, we all had heaps of fun, and lots of make & takes, inspirational cards, layouts & gift ideas displayed on the tables that my beautiful Stampin Up Demonstrater Cassie had on display. Everyone really enjoyed their make & takes and i am appreciated all the work that Cassie put into every project.....so if you are interested in a really good stampin up Demonstrater, just send me an email and i will point you in the direction of Cassie.

Now the weather is warming up a lot of the new products from the CHA and beginning to enter our stores, so look out for them at your local store, or at Scrapneeds at Cardiff.

Spring is just around the corner

Winter is nearly over & Spring is just around the corner. We have had some glorious weather in the past couple of weeks. My son and his wife were loving it, as it was quite cold when they left the Margaret River. There on there way to the cold again in New Zealand for a couple of weeks of well deserved R&R.
This is a cute layout i did for my class at the shop a couple of weeks ago Using the new basic grey June Bug Range, i love the rich and very playful design of these papers, i had a lot of fun putting this one together.

My beautiful granddaughter also had her 11th birthday this week, how they grow, only 1 1/2 years and she will be in highschool, i just can not imagine it. Those teen years are just around the corner. I need to load up my photos from the day and will post them up later but in the meantime..........
Last week when i went to the vineyards with my three children & thier partners i was finally able to get some photos of the my three children together, this is a rarety, even if i can get them in the same place at the same time, they are reluctant participants, but what a little wine will do, as they relaxed and really did not care about the camera. My son & his lovely wife are coming from WA for a quick visit for a couple of days. Can not wait to see them. Last month was a busy one for a lot of us Newy Scrappers, we had the MD Fundraiser a couple of weeks ago, and it was great success, every one had a good time, and lots scrapping was being done. We had some great raffles and fantastic prizes donated by local stores, local scrapbook teachers, and avid scrappers. This is wonderful for Mandy who does an awesome job each year arranging this great event. So below is my layout that i taught as a class & which raised money for the fundraiser, it was a great success and most kits were sold. Thanks to everyone one did my class and donated the class & kit fee to the fundraiser, you are all just wonderful.

I have been a slack blogger

I have been really slack up dating my blog this month. The dreaded flue has affected my family and kept me busy. I have been organising my classes for the MD Fundraiser which is only 10 sleeps away.....i have also been working on a little workshop for a gold coin donation just thrown in for an extra little challenge.It will be a texture paste workshop where i will be doing a small demonstration on how to stamp and embellish texture paste. I look forward to seeing everyone there, it will be a great day.

This is a cute layout i did for class a couple of weeks ago using the new Little Yellow Bicycle Baby Safari Range, they have a vinyl finished texture to the papers, they have some great papers & embellishments in this range, the clear transparent die-cuts are to die for, and the glitter papers are also a must have.

I just love these papers & embellishments from s.e.i with the vinyl finish they are just beautiful. It's ashame the texture does not show up on so well when scanned.

Well thats about it for now i am off for a little trip to hospital today, and will be back soon.

but rain rain go away come again another day....i know we need the rain, but i am starting to feel a little miserable and would love a little bit of sunshine, then the rain can come back. Once again a reminder that the MD Fundraiser is creeping up on us soon ,only a month to go.....i am about to start working on my layout for the fundraiser, which i do appreciate so much the people who are booking into the classes that Jen, Peta & i will be teaching, as it is such a worthy cause and Mandy and her helpers do such a lot of behind the scenes work for this event....but as usual I am feeling a little bit nervous. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to my layouts, often criticising my work......i should have done this, or i should have done that....i am sure a lot of you know where i am coming from. Anyway i have to get off that subject for now. The layout below is a fun layout using the Basic Grey Lime Rickey Range.....i think it sums up how i would like the whether to be at the moment.

It has been a while since i have posted on my blog. I have had trouble getting into my blog, my computer needed a good clean out and some updating, which will keep me going for a little longer, until i can save up for another system. I have also had my grandson for the past couple of weeks,helping out with child minding along with my son. He is so gorgeous, and i have to say a really lovely little boy. I hope he will grow up to be as sweet as he is at this moment in time.....i am sure he will. I took him to the park one day last week, for some fun and for a little selfish photography shoot from Nanna. I have not been able to get many photos of the grandkids lately as they are growing up so much, and i get the OH! not photos again thing going on. I hope it passes as i am in need of some new photos. Hey! hasn't the weather been so cold the last of couple of days, i hope everyone is keeping warm, i don't mind it, as i hate the hot hot steamy

I probably should not say it, but i need to get some washing dry. My Grandson had his eigth birthday this week. How they grow. I have taken some pictures but still need to load them up. Will pop them on here when i have sorted them out. Don't forget either that the MD Fundraiser is coming up quickly.This is a layout i created for mothers day using a lot of products, but i love it. Prima products just gets me everytime. A photo of my mum was all i could get, as i went away the next day on my holliday. I would have loved some photos of the Grandchildren and i together but it was not meant to be. OH! well there is always next year!

I have been away on hollidays. Went to WA to visit my youngest son Richard. He has his own Beer & Wine Tour Business at Margaret River....if you ever over there look it up Margies Beer & Wine Tours. You will have a fantastic day. It was so great to see him and his lovely wife again, after not seeing them for over a year since their wedding. This time around i got to see a lot of lovely placing and had a lot fine dining a winery restaurants.....OH! and also i have to mention that i went and saw a musical called Menapause The Musical, it was fantastic, i would thoroughly recomend if it is in town go see it. Well i will pop us some pictures from my holliday.

Look at this yummy lollie shop called the Candy Cow, it was full of delicious chocolates, lollies, honecomb & Fudge.

This is the lighthouse at Augusta, this is the most southern point in WA and where the next closest City is Antarctica, and where the two oceans meet.

Don't laugh this is my attempt at playing the didgerydoo. My son can do it so much better than i can ever imaging to. It took me all my time to stop laughing so he could take this photo.

This is a gorgeous Forest full of the tallest trees i have ever seen. Not the greatest photo, i have a better one and will load that up another day.

I am so enjoying the cooler weather & my energy for scrapping has increased. Been busy busy busy. Today i am cooking a caserole in the slow cooker, with a half a bottle of red wine added, talk about gourmet, can smell it cooking all through the house.

This is a layout we did for class at the shop ( SCRAPNEEDS) last week. I just love the Websters pattern papers, they are so vintage and the colours are so rich and have that lovely Autumn Appeal.

Two Layouts Using The Same Embellishments

Ever purchased a pack of expensive embellishments & only used some of the items in the pack. Well you are going to love this class. I have created 2 layouts using different papers for each one, but applying the same embellishments to each layout. A Big Weekend

This weekend has been a big one, i feel as though i have been on a retreat. Scrapbooking my yearly album at a crop on Saturday, then a crop day at Eddeworth with Scrapbook Divas on Sunday. You would think i would have had enough, but actually i have come home and decided to load up some new creations on my blog.

I have used the U BUg Me Range from Bo Bunny.....OH! boy! just love them.I have been doing a lot more of the boy stuff lately as requested by my class followers, when i say what would you like me to do, they say boy boy anything boy, teenage boy, little boy and the man boy.....LOL. But believe me i am still doing the girly girly thing it is just to hard to resist. This is a different layout to the one below using the U Bug Me range, just had to create another one using these products.

Hi! i have not been a very good blogger lately, have had so much on with Family, Easter & the Hollidays. I went all out this Easter and did some great home made cooking for my Family, making cup cakes ( which by the way my Dad said the Chocolate ones were the best he had tasted for years) Lemon Meringue Pie.......which came with a great story, every bit was eaten on the day. I did not get any, totally missed out. My son had to work and said save me some. Came round after his morning surf the next day, looking for the yummy Lemon Meringue and was most upset to find none left, and what about me i made it and didn't get any either, so i am going to make one just for him, when he gets back from hollidays. So here is a couple of happy snaps from the day.

Bleaching.......

I have always wanted to give this ago. It has been around for a while but i have never had a go at it. I love to use tecnique on my pages, i think it gives a lot of handmade substance to my layouts. This is the layout for next Thursday Nights Class at SCRAPNEEDS. I first began by trying to bleach the paper and this was not to successful, it definetly needs to be a paper with a very strong and colour base for the stamping to show up. So i decided to use cardstock instead and love the finished result.

Things that move...........

Well i have been and had my flu shot today, so i am ready for winter. This is the first time it hurt, my arm was stinging and throbbing. It has finally settled down, but i have dead arm. Anyone going to the Newcastle show today or tomorrow. I have not been for many years, but i am thinking of taking the grandkids in for a little while and having a good excuse to take some photos on all those whirly, winding, dipping and diving rides......do i dare do that to them. Maybe.....i used to love the rides myself, so i might even get on there with them.

This months issue of Scrapbook Creations had some fantastic ideas for moveable objects on our pages. I decided to take some of these on board , put my own little spin on the ideas and create a cute, fun and very boyish layout for next Thursday nights class at the SCRAPNEEDS shop.....here is the layout using the new Kaiser K Bots Papers. I had so much fun doing this layout and thanks Scrapbook Creations and Louise Donnelly for the great ideas.

Weddings.......

Finally i have put together a layout of my sons Wedding. These are just photos i took myself, the photographers photos were so much better, but i am not ready yet to scrap those. I used the lovely Cosmo Cricket Ever After papers, they worked perfectly colour wise for the colour of the bridesmaid dresses & the flowers. I hand made the tissue flowers on the page. I was having a little look at Steph Caskey Devlins Blog a few weeks back, and she had some hand made flowers on one of her designs, thanks for the inspiration of the design Steph! I then went it google searched where to make some hand made flowers and found heaps of designs....the tissue paper flowers are a great soft look , perfect for a wedding page.

These Papers From Kaiser

These papers have been around for a little while now, i have had some in my stash for a rainy day.....with the lack of much boy or male products out there i decided to create one from the Who's A Hoot Range from Kaiser. Love this photo of my Grandson he was running around the yard, and i wanted him to come inside, but he just kept running and laughing. I am amazed that i got such a good photo, because i was chasing him with the camera and laughing too! at the same time. This is next Thursday nights class at SCRAPNEEDS, so come and join us .

I have not been well, sore throat, running nose.......i guess winter is beginning to stir it's way into our lives with little teasers of colds emerging everywhere.....sneeeeezzzing and wheezing, is it winter coming or Hayfever. Who knows. I hate menapause also, interupting my life cycle....& the cold weather for me is a blessing in disquise, most of summer i felt as though i was living in the kitchen oven. So on another not and getting away from all this sick stuff it is lovely to see bits and pieces of scrapping supplies for the CHA Winter finalling beginning to flood into our scrapbook stores, only small amounts have been creeeping in and I am excited with the new products. Brights & Bold, and a great selection of Vintage and Heritage designed papers, 7 gypsies, Prima and the New Graphic 45 will be in the SCRAPNEEDS STORE VERY SOON so watch out for it, and the designs we will be creating. Here is a page i just finished off using the new Bo Bunny U Bug Me Range... I will be doing a layout in this range for SCRAPNEEDS VERY SOON. I am still a little dissapointed with the lack of boy designs when it comes to the scrapbooking industry....come on guys give us lots and lots more of the boy stuff. I know i am always doing the girly thing, but there is more male population in my family than girls. But i am fussy when it comes to boy pages......i don't like flowers and frilly stuff on them. I love them grungy and boyish and masculine, don't get me wrong. The men in my Family including the boys are what i call real blokes.....not that there is anything wrong with the new age man. My boys can do the dishes, cook and do all that domestic stuff along with their partners equally. So here is the quick page i did this afternoon

I love Autumn and Spring my two favourite seasons, the weather is so much cooler, fresh crisp mornings and evenings and pleasant days.

I have scrapbooking coming out of my ears at the moment. I am so enjoying scrapping in this cooler weather . This is a sneak peek of a workshop class on this Thursday night at the Scrapneeds Shop Cardiff, so if your interested get in soon, as there is not many places left for this class. I have used the New Autumn Leaves Pattern Papers & the New Black Magic Core dinations cardstock....just love this, rubbing it back & showing through the colour on the reverse side is awesome. I will definetly be using more of this cardstock on future layouts.

This is a layout i just created using the new Graphic 45 papers. I am so drawn to a lot of the heritage and vintage papers. I love the colour co-ordinations. I know that 7 gypsies is bringing a great design to this year can not wait to get my hands on some of those little beauties.

I love cute little kittens and puppies, actually love most animals. Thought i would have a little play with the camera using Aperture on my camera. Decided it was about time i started learning my camera more, instead of Automatic. I found a great free online course at two peas in a bucket. This was photo was taken using instructions from the first week. Not the greatest photo, but i love the soft look.

How Can We Understand The Devastation

I can not express the sadness i feel for the victims of the Victorian Fires. I can not fathum how any one could deliberately lite fires, and put so many lives in danger. I can only hope that they realise just what they have done and are remorseful.These victums of the fires, these people are amazing they have lost so much, but in the face of it all rally together to help and support one another. These faces that we see on the TV we do not know, but how brave & amazing they are. Every time i hear or see a story, i well up with tears. Those amazing fireman, their strength and endurance fighting these fires. The brave souls that fought fires for their neighbours to help save their properties. The people who have come forward and donated so many possesions, money & necessary items, are those wonderful people we call Aussies......what a great country we live in. There is a lot of support out there also in the scrapbooking comunity and some online scrapbookers including one in newcastle is organising some scrapbooking albums to donate to the fire victims..... all you have to do is make a page & leave a space for photos. Your layouts can be dropped off to Shop & Crop at New Lambton. I think it is so wonderful.

Keep your thoughts in your hearts and wish for the best of opportunities and the re-building of the lives of these poor victims. I have donated several things including money. I do not have much, but i would give them all if i felt it would help!

These are two very cute layouts i created using the new Bo Bunny range and the Kaiser Sakural Range......I love the Black, Red & White colours, they are so classic in style. If you have'nt noticed yet i think i am rather fussy when it comes to matching up my colours. I have never been one for anything goes. I find that scrapping style a bit hard to grab hold of.....one day i might challenge myself to have a go.

I have not been very productive with my scrapbookin over the Christmas period, it was nice to have a break and get the creative juices flowing again. I started with this one, which certianly needs a lot of work and adjusting, but it got me started again......I call it scrappers block. I am sure you all know what i mean!........it seems to happend from time to time.

I can not believe how hot it was yesterday, i have never suffered in the heat so much, i must have eaten a whole packet of iceblocks. I opened every window in the house when that beautiful and very welcomed southerly came through.

New CHA Products

I have been on my computer all morning checking out the New CHA Products....Oh! my, i am going to go broke. Have a look at Prima Marketing at http://www.primamarketing.inc.com/ the flowers and stitched mulberry papers are to die for. They also have a very cute kids range, with printed twill, that is just so very cute. This is a company i have never seen before and it just blew me away "Bisous" there papers are so different, but i love them. Another place with unusual but awesome papers is Websters designs. Go have a look there great.

I have finally created a boy page, why is it so hard to find boy or male products? there very scarce. A couple of companies have come up with a couple of good ranges that i really like "Crate Paper", " Bo Bunny" & " Fancy Pants". Can not wait for them to hit the stores...i will be having myself some of those for sure.

Update Of The Hollidays

Over the hollidays i have taken the grandkids to see Bedtime Stories....which i am not a fan of Adam Sandler, but did enjoy the movie. We have been to the pool, quite a few times and will be doing more this coming week. My Grandaughter has decided she loves cooking and has been doing a little bit of this lately, these are the banana pancakes she made herself, home made ingredients, and no help from me, not even with the flipping or tossing. I have been booked in on Tuesday as she wants to make cup-cakes.

Yummmy! They tasted awesome, they look funny though! but who cares they tasted great.

Yesterday, did not much at all, other than finishing off some layouts. Today i went to my daughters to make cushions, bolsters & pillow cases for Ashley's new bedspread, and guess what forgot to take the camera....ahhhhh! even the kids got in on the action and made cute little fun cushions for the cat.....i will take my camera down on Tuesday and take some photos of the cushions, but how nice it would have been to have had them taken of them sewing, and the fun we all had.

I can not wait for next month, as i am starting a yearly album class, which will be on a month to month basis, documenting events & special memories from each month. I have already been conscious of the class and have been taking photos and keeping notes.....except for today....ahhhhh!

I Love This Weather

Today is so much cooler. I Love it!, that heat is to much for me now i am getting older. Also I enjoy creating more when the weather is cool, i feel more inspired and Coooooool! I think i might get in and do some more scrapping tonight, seeing i am feeling so inspired. My grandson came back from Fiji yesterday too!, which was a great relief, with all the floods and disaster over there it was so good to hear he was back, and even better to see him today. WOW! How Hot Is It Today

I think this is the first day that the heat has bothered me so much. I have spent the day inside scrapping & trying to keep cool. My next door neighbour is turning 80years old this week, and her Family have organised a surprise party for her......this lady has 9 children, i thought that 3 kids was ok to handle, imaging having 9. I decided that i would create something special for her Family. In the past i have used some of her Heritage photos to create some layouts for classes, as they were such great photos. I have kept the layouts in my albums. Then i thought a great present for her and her family to have would be to put them in an album for her. I worked on it today and just finished, so here is a picture of the finished result.

Happy New Year to everyone! Mine did not go so well. I had plans, but they did not eventuate. I woke up New Year Eve's morning with a very bad throat infection & high temperatures all day. So no celebrating in the New Year for me & a very quiet New Years Day as well.

Here are some photos from our Christmas Day, which i had to fit like 20 people in a 1 bedroom unit, heaps of fun! Some were taken before Christmas, as my grandson went to Fiji for Christmas this year to visit his grandparents. We have really missed him around this year! & can not wait for him to come back. We had an early Family Christmas Party just for him before he went.

On The Countdown

I have finished my shopping finally, this year i did it mostly in 2 days, which is just great. I however have been flat out everyday, it seems like i am in and out of the house that many times i have lost count.

Here is a couple of layouts i have just done recently with the New Basic Grey Urban Prairie Range & the Sassafrass Lass Range. Very Whimisical & Vintage Feel to both these layouts. I need to get creating again, but think it will be after Christmas is over.

This is a great project of mine, i just love creating a new and different spin on this each year. I began my folded gate album last year, and continued on with a new one this year. It was a class at the shop over the past 2 weeks, which everyone loved and have ready for the new Christmas Photos ready to pop onto the pages. I think it looks like a Gingerbread House.

MARIONS PASSION FOR SCRAPPING
Before i begin I would like to share some sad news with you.....i had a very sad week this past week. At the beginning of this year i designed a very special Hand Made Family Heritage Album. Each month i completed a layout on a member of my Family, adding layouts with photos, personal journaling and memorabilia. The album was far from completed, many ladies each month shared in the completion of layouts of their family members also to add to their albums. I feel sad for them also as i am now in position of not knowing whether i can continue on with the project, as i would have to re-create the album all over again, spending my spare time to do the layouts that i have lost, but they will not be the same, as many of the papers, embellishments are now irreplaceable.The Album was to continue with classes throughout 2009.......the album was going to be a never ending project, entering Past, Present and Future Generations to come to the album. I put such a lot of hard work, time and very special memories into the Album, up until this stage. THE ALBUM WAS STOLEN FROM THE SCRAPBOOK MEGASTORE ON SATURDAY THE 29TH OF NOVEMBER.... between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm. I was speechless when told. An album can be re-created, layouts re-created, but in this album i had 3 very special photos of my oldest son. When my children were small i did not have a camera, and some earlier photos of my children, were lost in a house move. Most of the photos i have of them, were given to me by other members of my family. These photos were taken with a Polaroid camera, with no copies available. They are the only photos i have of him at the age of 4, and a very special occasion......so you can imagine my heartbreak. I can only hope the person who took it, will have a consciouns and will return it, there will be no questions asked or no action taken, if it is returned. The photos mean more to me than anything.

I was lucky enough to go see the Australia Movie on Friday afternoon & well I left feeling what a beautiful country we have, i know through a good source that most of it was real and only a few parts were digitally done. I ENJOYED the movie, even though at the beginning i was....ah! this seems a little Corny, but i had forgotten how the old Aussies talked, we seem to have lost the language over the years.....and it began to bring back memories of the way my grandfathers and grandfathers spoke. It was funny, serious & sad. But i loved it. Go see it you will not be disappointed.

Christmas is upon us......oh! my gosh. I can not believe it is here.
